I’m certain we’ll be playing other games, too! We’re also expecting demos of all the Ticket to Ride games and its expansions. I don’t think they’ll be here by this Saturday, but definitely in time for next month’s Game Night.
What kinds of games do we play? All kinds, including: group games, card games, board games, dice, strategy games, you name it. Examples include:

… and lots more! If you have a favorite game you’d like to play, bring it with you.
You don’t have to know a game to play it: we’ll teach you. I think I’ve learned at least one new game at every Game Night. The object is to have fun. We could all use a little more fun in our lives. Best of all, it’s FREE!
Bring a folding chair if you have one. Don’t worry if you don’t, just bring yourself. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase at the store or you can bring your own.
Christine W. Hampton and Rosalee W. Washington will be on hand Saturday, December 6 from 1 pm to 3 pm to sign copies of their book, The History of Lincolnville, South Carolina.
About the Book
A place of refuge for former slaves was founded in 1867 just one mile outside of Summerville: Lincolnville, South Carolina. Here former slaves built homes, schools, and churches to provide them strength and comfort. Despite many challenges, the town has survived more than 150 years and has produced many remarkable individuals who have received acclaim for their accomplishments throughout the United States.
This history, lovingly compiled and written by two native daughters of Lincolnville, traces all aspects of the town and provides details never before recorded. It is an important addition to Lowcountry and South Carolina history.

Local author, Mary Elizabeth Reynolds will be on hand Saturday, November 22 from 1pm to 3pm to chat with readers and sign her book, Diary of a Ghost.
About Diary of a Ghost:
After losing her lover to suicide, Samantha, the heroine of the story, sinks into a terrible depression relieved only when she begins transcribing the war journals of a Union soldier. The dead journalist, Josiah, appears to Samantha as a ghost and takes her back in time to visit the battles and places he experienced while a Union soldier. Samantha’s ghostly journeys have a cost, though: the more she delves into this fascinating spirit world of the past, the further she drifts from reality. Can Sean, the young Charleston lawyer who loves her, save Samantha from herself at the risk of losing himself?
Diary of a Ghost is based on the authenticated Civil War diaries of New Jersey soldier Eugene Forbes, that were transcribed by the author. Set in Charleston, South Carolina, every place the ghost and Samantha travel to, through time, are the same places where Eugene Forbes fought and endured.
You can learn more about Eugene, the diaries, and the inspiration for Diary of a Ghost at the author’s website:www.ereynolds.net.
